Flora Young's teaching skills enhance her creative use of curriculum. Our four year old classroom is culturally diverse with several children who entered as non-English speaking, but have learned English and have developed effective speaking skills through the use of an effective curriculum.

She has a complete knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices or stages of learning. She integrates this knowledge in her use of curriculum planning and in daily practice by skillfully interweaving oral and written curriculum.

Co-teaching with Ms. Young has been enjoyable because her teaching style has put me at ease. Many times her experience has guided me to improve my own techniques in the classroom and we have adapted our styles to the needs of the entire classroom.

Her leadership is the key to a calm atmosphere that is inductive to learning. I have a deep appreciation of her mentoring abilities along with her experience in that she works to make her classroom the best learning environment for every child.
